Educate Drivers in the Community to respect School Zones

  • PSA Idea: Little Child in Football outfit going into a school zone.
    
    
  • PSA Idea: DON’T CROSS THE LINE! Build a PSA to inform drivers that it is illegal to cross a crosswalk with a Crossing Guard in it. Have a small child shuffling stuff into a backpack looking frazzled towards her friends walking home. Her friends are at the crosswalk with a crossing guard entering the street to cross them. A car is getting ready to turn right across the crosswalk. As the crossing guard gets the kids to the opposite side of the roadway, the little girl runs to catch up to her friends. The SUV turning right decides that the kids are on the other side of the multi-lane road and it is clear to go (EVEN THOUGH THE CROSSING GUARD IS STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET STOPPING TRAFFIC!) Show the little girl about to run in front of the turning SUV.
    
  • PSA Idea: AAA of Southern California already has a PSA about parents parking in the red zone, talking on cell phones driving through crossing guards and other things parents routinely do in our school zones for convenience. Michael Geeser is going to try to get a copy of it for us to view.
